Ira A. Bailey, 90, of Huron, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, in Admiral’s Pointe Nursing & Rehabilitation, Huron.
Ira was born Nov. 14, 1923, in Huron, and was a lifelong resident. He worked was a carpenter and millwright. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during World War II.
He was a member of the Sandusky V.F.W., Sandusky AMVETS, the American Legion, and the Huron Eagles.
He is survived by his daughter, Winn Biglin of Sandusky; his step children, Warrenette (Ron) Parthemore of Perkins, David (Michelle) Cramer of Texas, and Dudley (Kelly) Cramer of Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Merry-Jo Bailey of Oberlin; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Ramona (Cramer) Bailey in 1997; his parents, Arthur and Hilda (Keller) Bailey; a son, Scott Bailey; and a sister.
At Ira’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation or services at this time.
