Rotary Fine Art and Food Festival to Roll into Huron This Weekend

Last year, the Huron Rotary Club decided to change gears with their annual festival.  In addition to renaming the festival, Rotary members decided to not only feature artists from around the area and music, but they invited food trucks from Cleveland to provide a unique dining experience for festival goers.  Their gamble last year was successful.  Hence, this year’s festival will once again feature a variety of well-known gourmet food trucks.

Specifically, the food trucks that will be participating will be Krav, Fired Up Taco Truck, Motor Mouth, Donut Lab, and East Coast Custard.  In addition, Donut Lab will performing delicious experiments with donuts as deserts, and East Coast Frozen Custard will be there serving all sorts of custards.  Finally, the Huron Rotarians will be serving beer, wine, pop, water, ROTATORS, and Hahn's deep-fried corn.

The festival will also feature live entertainment at the AmphitheatreFriday evening from 6-9 PM, Kickin’ Back will take the stage.  Saturday’s entertainment will include the Firelands String Quartet who will perform from 3-5 PM and Sandtown from 6-9 PM.

The festival will run Friday, August 8 from 5-9 PM, Saturday, August 9 from 11 AM-10 PM, and Sunday, August 10 from 11 AM-4 PM.  During the festival, Main Street will be closed to accommodate the food trucks.  Every dollar raised at the festival goes toward supporting the mission of the Huron Rotary which is Service above Self.  More specifically, the money goes to support five $750 scholarships that are awarded to Huron seniors, as well as providing every third grade student with a free dictionary.
